Every construction worker in the UK requires an up to date CSCS card to be able to work on a building site.

 The regulations have changed

Every site worker must be able to demonstrate competence in order to renew their card. 

An NVQ is the most effective way to do this. 

CITB currently estimate there are 60,000 construction workers in the UK who will need an NVQ in the next year in order to retain their jobs on site and this will continue over the coming years.

You may have multiple construction managers who by law have to carry a CSCS card and due to a change in regulation they will all be required to demonstrate competence to renew (the cards have to be renewed every four years) an NVQ has been highlighted as one of the best ways to achieve this.

Previously if you worked on site in the UK you could simply renew your CSCS card on the basis of your past experience, this is no longer the case!  A such there is a high demand for NVQ's which will continue over the coming years.
